The Rotary Club of Bay St. Louis is now accepting applications for its 7th Annual “Service Above Self” Scholarship. This scholarship recognizes Hancock County graduating seniors who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, and a strong commitment to community service. Applications and essays are due May 1, 2026.

The Rotary Club of Bay St. Louis is proud to announce that applications are now open for the 2026 “Service Above Self” Scholarship.

Now in its seventh year, this scholarship honors graduating seniors in Hancock County who embody Rotary’s guiding principle: Service Above Self. While academic excellence is important, this scholarship goes beyond grades. It recognizes students who have demonstrated leadership, community involvement, and a genuine commitment to serving others.

Eligible applicants must be graduating seniors who live in and/or attend school (public, private, or homeschool) in Hancock County.

Applicants are required to complete the official scholarship application and submit an essay explaining:

  • What “Service Above Self” means to them

  • How it influences their education and career goals

  • The impact their future service will have on their community

Applications and essays must be emailed to Chris Roth, Scholarship Chair, at crothbsl@yahoo.com no later than Friday, May 1st, 2026.

Finalists will be selected for in-person interviews.

Through this scholarship, the Rotary Club of Bay St. Louis continues its commitment to investing in the next generation of leaders and supporting students who are dedicated to making a meaningful difference in Hancock County and beyond.
